Movie review Alita: Warrior Angel from the perspective of an original fan

Here is a review of the movie Alita: Warrior Angel (Alita: Battle Angel) from my perspective of an original fan, so there will be higher requirements than a normal viewer, hope you sympathize.

Alita: The Warrior Angel tells the story of the fantasy world, where the Alita girl (or rather her part) is found in a scrap yard under the city flown by Dr. Ido, which he gives to his body. by machine. On her journey, Alita befriends Hugo and fights against evil enemies.

In terms of graphics, I only have 3 words that are "EXTREMELY TRUE". James and Robert did too well in building that fantasy world, and brought each page of the story to the screen. Each character shape until their weapons, all created with meticulous attention to detail. The fight scenes are very eye-catching, showing the true virtue of Alita. However, one major change is that the world in the film is somewhat brighter than in the story, but it is not too big a problem.

About the sound: the sound of metal colliding, the sound of nitro spewing out of the hammer or the sound of chains firing, everything was done realistically, not in abundance.

Graphics and sound are great, but I can't say that to the content. This is arguably the worst array.

Whether you are an original Alita fan: Angel of the Warrior or just a regular viewer, it is undeniable that the content is pushed too fast and the character is not built yet, dialogue things are not like the words ordinary people say. The film is a collection of more than 15 chapters of the story, with 3 main events and nearly 8 important influential characters, all compressed into 2 short film hours, making the film with many shortcomings. Here I will talk about the 3 characters I consider to be the most influential to the movie.

The first is Alita or Gally (name in the original): in the story, she is an innocent girl, who is learning how to find herself, which makes her human despite having a programmed machine to kill. This was kept the same in the movie, but due to the fact that the plot was accelerated, along with poor construction, the character was a bit awkward.

The second one is Dr. Ido: the one who saved Alita and acted as a leader, a father, and he also has a clearer plot than in the story. However, most of his appearance in the film is just to explain things, but focus on the relationship between him and Alita, so at the end of the film we are still not too impressed with the role of the character. this.

And the last, the worst of the three, Hugo: appeared as a friend of Alita but like many other characters, due to the uncracked, the performance of the character is not good, making viewers unable to empathize with his work, as well as his relationship with Alita. If in the story, he was built with a story, a very personal personality, but when he was in the movie, he couldn't convey all the beauty of this character, turning one of the most moving scenes, the scene in the story that made me cry. A lot of times, when I see it, I just see it as trying to buff up the viewers' emotions, not to leave any lingering in the viewers.

Alita: Alita Battle Angel is a movie with great sound effects, but not enough to satisfy the original fans or viewers who focus on the plot. As for me, there will be only one and only Battle Angel Alita, and this movie, for me really, has not achieved the good of the series.
